Yuri Foreman, Joshua Clottey Win Bouts

In the main event of a Top Rank promoted card from the Aviator Sports Arena in Brooklyn, New York, junior middleweight Yuri Foreman (25-0, 8KOs) won an unanimous ten-round decision over Saul Roman (28-5, 24KOs). The scores were 97-93, 98-92 and 98-92. Roman was too slow and Foreman's boxing skills overwhelmed him.

In the co-main event, Joshua Clottey (34-2, 21KOs) stopped Jose Luis Cruz (36-4-2, 29KOs) in the fifth-round. Although Clottey was dominating the fight, the stoppage came as a surprise to many in attendance as Cruz didn't appear to be in any serious trouble when the referee made a decision to stop the fight. Clottey retains his number-one position in the IBF's welterweight rankings.
