Lanky Eriberto “Yukka”  Gejon, who is ranked No. 2 by the WBA gets a title shot at minimum weight champion Yutaka Niida on September 25 in Japan according to Gejon’s manager Rex “Wakee” Salud.

Gejon who is undefeated with a record of 21-0- 1 including 13 knockouts is also ranked in the top ten by all the other world boxing organizations and is one of the brightest prospects for a world title. Gejon who is tall for his weight at 5’6 ½” is one of the prized possessions of Salud  who believes his fighter has an excellent chance of winning the world title against Niida who is coming off a lopsided win in his last title defense against Korea’s Jae Won Kim last April 16.

Niida won the minimum weight title with a unanimous decision over Chana Porpoaoin of Thailand pn August 25, 2001 before losing a split decision to Noel Arambulet on July 12, 2003. He regained the belt with a unanimous decision on July 3, 2004.
