Cuban super welterweight Yudel Jhonson, 12-1-1 (8KO’s), signed a promotional deal with Acquinity Sports on. CEO Gary Jonas and President Henry Rivalta are very pleased to add Jhonson to the Acquinity Sports team and also announced that his next fight will take place at The BB&T Center on January 12 as part of the card presented by Golden Boy Promotions.
Jhonson is scheduled to take part in an eight rounder next Saturday, and he has been preparing for this return since November, training at Caicedo’s Gym in Miami. Promoter Rivalta says - “we have given Jhonson his chance with the same conditions as all of our guys. We have great plans for him this year and we know he is working hard to return in great shape for this fight.”
Acquinity Sports runs the career of 14 qualified fighters and Jhonson is another boxer added to the roster.
German Caicedo is Jhonson's new coach and says - “He is a very talented warrior. He needs a chance to show that he can do the job and we are ready to help him.”
