Cuban Super welterweight Yudel Jhonson 12-1-0 (8 KO's) has been training hard for the last few weeks under new coach Herman Caicedo in Mami. Caicedo is convinced that fans have not seen the best of Jhonson and estimated that the Cuban's career is far over, and at this stage he is in excellent physical condition.
Jhonson is working for his return. In his last outing, which took place in May, he lost his unbeaten record against Willie Nelson by way of a ten round unanimous decision at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas.
Jhonson said - "I am training harder than I've ever worked before in the past. We are ready to stand up and continue my career. I just hope for a chance and with God's help we will move forward.:
As far as a tentative return date, Jhonson might land a spot on a Golden Boy Promotions card on Saturday January 12 at the BB & T Center in Sunrise, Florida. In the main event, Johan Perez will face veteran Steve Forbes.
