Cuban light welterweight prospect Yordenis Ugas (10-0, 5 KOs) is trains hard for his next fight, against Esteban Almaraz at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
“We are looking to improve the speed and the work with his legs is important. Ugas is a very skillful fighter and we want to add quickness to his movements inside the ring,” said his trainer Eric “The Tiger” Castaño at The Heavyweight Factory Gym.
“To work with fast and skillful fighters such as [Guillermo] Rigondeaux, it’s excellent for us. Also we are working with Hylon Williams Jr and he will help Yordenis Ugas to get in the best condition possible on January 13th."
The fight is the co-feature to the main between super bantamweights Teon Kennedy and Christopher Martin.
“We are coming in very well trained, and we are confident of beating Almaraz by any means possible, KO or decision,” Ugas said to us.
The team Ugas will arrive in Las Vegas on January 10th.
“This week we enter the final step of his training and we will go out to defeat this opponent and continue forward to a title fight shot - maybe at the end of 2012,” his trainer Eric Castaño added.
