IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez (28-1, 14KOs) will defend the title on March 8 at the Max Schmeling Hall in Berlin on a Sauerland Event promotion. It will be a voluntary defense by Hernandez against an opponent to be announced.

Hernandez was last seen in action on November 23, stopping Alexander Alekseev in the tenth round.

This means three major fights for Sauerland inside on six weeks. January 25 Marco Huck takes on Firat Arslan in a defense of the WBO cruiserweight crown and March 1 Arthur Abraham challenges WBO super middleweight ruler Robert Stieglitz in Magdeburg and then Hernandez in action on March 8.
