The fight for the vacant EBU flyweight title between Valery Yanchy and Karim Guerfi, set for August 19, is now postponed until October 7. The official reason for promoter Chano Planas to move the show is a lack of a suitable venue.
Rimer Boxe in Spain have two interesting fights for vacant EU titles in the works for the new season. Not all is confirmed yet but the way it looks now Jesus Garcia Escalona faces Belgian boxer Hovhannes Zhamkochyan for the jr lightweight title October 7 or 8 in Fuenlabrada while Joaquin Cespedes takes on Frenchman Ali Hallab for the vacant super bantamweight crown September 23 or 24 at Pabellon Sage 2000 in Aluche.
Danish welterweight veteran and former EBU champ Christian Bladt has a tuneup of some kind set for September 3 in Herning and will then take on touted Belgian puncher by way of Armenia and Spain, Sasha Yengoyan, September 30 in Gent.
