Six-foot welterweight Zhi Lin Xia and former multi-medallist lady boxer Ding Jin of China are scheduled to arrive late Tuesday night in preparation for their historic fight in two-straight-night boxing events this weekend in Metro Manila.

The 8-man Chinese team will stay at the Lotus Hotel in Malate, Manila until their departure back to their origin on October 31.

Xia takes on WBE Asia Pacific No. 3 contender Carlito Brosas for the vacant WBE Asia Pacific Welterweight title in the main event of the free-to-public “Eastern Brawl” card on Oct. 29 at the Mandaluyong Sports Complex in Kaban ng Hiyas, Mandaluyong City.

While Mel Braguda, a housewife of American and comes from a well-to-do resident of Ayala-Alabang in Muntinlupa City, is slated to make her debut in a schedule 3-round tiff at 120-pound limit against the 21-year old Jin, the former two-division Chinese national champion at 54 and 57 kilograms and won the a bronze medal in the 2003 Asian Women's Boxing Championship before turning in the paid ranks this year.

The Braguda-Jin fight serves as the co-feature bout on October 30 at the air-conditioned Grand Flash Ballroom of Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque City along with the rematch of the August 27 technical draw in the second round between reigning WBO world No. 4 and WBO Asia Pacific flyweight champ Rexon Flores against Acasio Simbajon.

The two fight nights will be televised by Jemah's Elorde Boxing Special on its regular every Thursday one-hour time slot from 9 pm over IBC Channel 13 on November 5.
