During an interview recently conducted by Chuck Johnson of USA Today, Winky Wright told the paper that middleweight champion Jermain Taylor is a better fighter than Felix Trinidad, and he expects a much harder fight.

"Jermain has a lot different skills than Tito (Trinidad)," Wright said. "With Tito, I knew all I had to worry about was the power. He wanted to throw hooks and he wanted to throw a right hand. I knew I could pick that off. You aren't going to ever get to me with one big shot. But (Jermain's) coming with more boxing and more speed."

Wright's trainer expects the bout with Taylor to be the defining moment of Winky Wright's career.

"This fight is going to define Winky. Every fight from now on will, but this one in particular," said Wright's trainer Dan Birmingham.
