The World Boxing Council believes that an instant replay rule must be mandatory in all fights. The implementation of this rule, as well as the timely and apt decision of the Boxing Commission of the State of Mexico, was used during a card that took place recently at the World Trade Center Mexiquense. The rule was instrumental in helping render justice during the fight between Mexican Pablo Cesar Cano and Colombian Fernando Angulo.

Initially it appeared that there was a clash of heads that caused a deep cut between Cano's eyes, just above the bridge of his nose. The cut was so bad that it couldn't be staunched and the fight was stopped in the ninth round. However, the instant replay clearly shows it was a terrific straight right from the Colombian, which inflicted the slice damage, and it was a perfectly legitimate blow, which earned him the deserved TKO victory.
