It appears that the recent talk by super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe, of facing Glen Johnson in a possible February bout, has angered IBF light heavyweight champion Clinton Woods.

Woods tells Sportinglife that he is not only determined to beat Johnson in their trilogy bout on Saturday to get revenge for a prior loss, but also to wreck the plans of Calzaghe. Calzaghe made it known in the media that he wants Johnson to win because a fight with Woods is less lucrative in the United States.

"It is doing my head in that all people are talking about is Calzaghe. They are conjuring up these little plans and when I reverse them I am going to have the biggest smile on my face," Woods said.

Woods, the underdog in most boxing circles, is looking to prove the experts wrong when he beats Johnson.

"I know I am number one in the world but everybody is still talking about Johnson being the best," added Woods. "When I win on Saturday people should be saying that about me - but I bet they don't. This is without doubt the biggest fight of my career and it would be my biggest win. Certain people think this fight is wrapped up already and I can't wait to prove everybody wrong."
