It appears that Pawel Wolak (27-1, 17KOs) is out as an opponent for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30KOs), his manager, Ivan Edwards, told BoxingScene.com. Wolak was being considered as the opponent for Chavez's next fight, scheduled for September 11 in Mexico.

"We want to fight him, and we believe that Pawel has a good shot to beat him. But we wanted $90,000 and they only wanted to give us $75,000. It's the difference of $15,000," said Edwards, who was dealing with Chavez's promoter, Top Rank.

"I spoke to them today, and they said that they were going to start looking at other guys," said Edwards. "They didn't say who they were looking at, just other guys."
