BoxingScene.com has been informed by junior middleweight contender Pawel Wolak that he is set to open up training camp on October 1st in preparation for his December 3rd fight that will take place on the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito undercard.

"I have been in the gym working out and I am set to start training camp on October 1st with my trainers Tommy (Brooks) and Terrific (Arroz Gist)," Wolak told BoxingScene.

There have been multiple reports that Wolak will face undefeated junior middleweight contender Vanes Martirosyan which the fighter of Polish descent denies. Wolak has been campaigning for a fight versus IBF champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage and is still holding out hope that the fight can be made.

"My opponent won't be Vanes," stated Wolak. "But I am still hoping we can get Bundrage."

Wolak had a badly swollen eye in his most recent fight which was a Fight of the Year candidate that aired on ESPN Friday Night Fights. Wolak said his eye is completely healed.

"I have already been sparring. The eye is completely back to normal."
