Earlier this week, BoxingScene.com ran an article where IBF junior middleweight kingpin Cornelius "K9" Bundrage expressed his displeasure in not landing a fight against WBA champion Miguel Cotto or WBC boss Canelo Alvarez. With those two fellow champions locked into their next fights, K9 said that he was looking to give former champ Shane Mosley or the red hot Carlos Molina a crack at his belt.
Bundrage was also quoted as saying none of the top guys in the division want to face him and that they are all "scaredy cats". Top contender Pawel Wolak, who is fresh off of an exciting draw against Delvin Rodriguez on national TV has an answer to K9's problems.
"I hope K9 doesn't become a feline and will man up and put his belt up against me. He says people are scared to fight him, here I am," said Wolak.
Part of the problem for Bundrage has been that he doesn't have a television date set for a title defense. Wolak on the other hand has a slot on the under card of the December 3rd rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito that takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York.
"Let's take advantage of my opportunity to fight December 3rd on a big stage and make it happen. Win or lose is almost second nature to me now. I am all about entertaining the people who take time out of their lives to watch me fight. I owe them entertainment and why not entertain and become a title holder the same night?" Wolak told BoxingScene.com.
