Former WBA bantamweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko may change his weight division. The Ukrainian, 33, also doesn’t discard the possibility of fighting for the champion’s belt in his present division. Meanwhile Sidorenko negotiates his contract with the new promotional company, as he together with Sergiy Dzinziruk decided to swap Germany for the USA. As Wladimir told to turnir.com.ua, that Banner Promotions offers the most interesting conditions. The contract with this company would be signed for 6 bouts.

“The most important thing is that they really want to promote us," - told Wladimir. – “For example, some promoters already have world champions in Sergiy Dzinziruk’s weight and they don’t want to lose them. That’s why it’s not beneficial for them to organize Sergiy’s fight with other champions. While Banner Promotions is willing to make unification bouts for him. This company also has contracts with prominent TV networks: HBO and Showtime”.

In 2008 Sidorenko lost his title to Panama fighter Anselmo Moreno. Last year the Ukrainian as well lost the rematch with Moreno by split decision. Before that Wladimir Sidorenko (21-2, 7 KОs) managed to retain his belt for more than 3 years and had 6 successful titles defenses.

“I hold the second position in the WBA rating, and I can fight for this version title right now”, - says the boxer. – “But before that I want to have a simple rating fight, after all I haven’t been in the ring for a long time and I need some warm-up. Also I may change my weight division. But I’ll tell more about that after I sign new contract”.
