IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko could have missed several years of boxing because of his injury from last year. As Segodnya newspaper informs citing German sources, last June Klitschko tore his left bicep in the bout with Ruslan Chagaev. Such an injury requires a complex operation and lengthy recovery. Otherwise one “can lose an arm” for two years.

However Klitschko himself told that the surgeons had done a great job and that his arm was fine now. The fact that the Ukrainian steps into the ring this Saturday indicates that his left arm is ready to fight.
