The never ending war of words between UK rivals Junior Witter and Ricky Hatton continues. After Hatton fired off a press release that took shots at some recent comments made by WBC 140-pound champ Witter, also by way of press release, Witter returned fire when interviewed by UK media outlet Sky Sports News.
Witter feels that Hatton is looking for the easy way out by avoiding a fight with him. He promises to throw boxing out the window and go to war if he ever meets Hatton in the ring.
"He absolutely hates me, I've got very little respect for him," Witter said. "It will be an out-and-out war when we get in the ring. It won't be the scientific match like my last fight, it will be more of a battle and a war which is what people want to see.
"It's what I want to do and Ricky Hatton is the man I want to do it against. He's always looking for the easy way out, but now I don't think he's got anything left but to fight me."
