The standoff is over. BoxingScene.com was just informed that the WBC and the California State Athletic Commission reached an agreement on Saturday's junior welterweight bout between Junior Witter and Devon Alexander, scheduled to take place on the Bradley-Campbell undercard at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California. Showtime is televising the fight. The vacant WBC title is at stake.
The two sides were at odds over the judges. The WBC was refusing to sanction the fight because they wanted three neutral judges - and the California Commission was refusing to make any changes. The two sides managed to settle things about an hour before the actual weigh-in.
