Former champion Winky Wright, who has two victories over Shane Mosley, broke down how WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao can beat the "Sugar" man on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Wright said that he used his jab, advantage in power and plenty of pressure to shut Mosley down. That could spell bad news for Mosley, since Pacquiao's bread and butter is a non-stop assault of power punching from all angles.

"I took the speed away because he’s real fast. I had to take the speed away. With that jab we took that speed away. Once we took that speed away and slowed it down, we just used our size. We were stronger than him and we stayed on him. We constantly beat him down. Beat him, beat him, beat him,” Wright told BoxingScene.com's Chris Robinson.

Wright agrees with the common opinion that Mosley is a big underdog, but he disagrees with people who don't consider the former champion a "live opponent." He gives Mosley a shot at pulling off the upset and providing a tough fight. Wright says that it all comes down to how badly Mosley wants the victory.

“Pacquiao is destroying everybody right now. But Shane is a live fighter. Shane has speed, he has power, but the thing is, does he want it? Does he have heart to go in there and fight and try to win? Because he’s going to have to dig down and fight because this guy is going to be coming at him. We’ll see,” Wright said.
