WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto received a surprise visitor at his training camp in Puerto Rico when former undisputed junior middleweight champ Winky Wright came strolling through the door. Wright was in Puerto Rico on business, meeting with buddy Felix "Tito" Trinidad to discuss the possibility of Winky Promotions putting on some events on the island.

"Puerto Rico is a great country of boxers. We have some boxers that who Puerto Ricans, so we would like at some point to bring a show to Puerto Rico and I like fighting here because I was always given a lot of respect and I know that Puerto Rico has an audience that values good boxing," Wright told Primera Hora.

Cotto is preparing hard for his July 26 title defense against Antonio Margarito on HBO pay-per-view from Las Vegas. Wright predicts that Cotto should walk away with the win.

"I believe that it's going to be a great fight. I like Cotto, he is a very complete boxer. Margarito is a great puncher with size, but Cotto can do a lot of things. He can box a lot more and also hits hard, so I expect to see Cotto leave with the victory," Wright said. "Cotto is one the best fighters out there. He is undefeated, has gotten some big wins and has great ability. It's difficult to say who is the best boxer in the world, pound-for-pound, but finally he is one of them. Cotto doesn't need my advice to beat Margarito. Whatever he is doing, he is doing very well. Don't try to fix something that aint broke."

Cotto has his own promotional company and puts on local shows in the country. He does not rule out the possibility of co-promoting some events with Wright in Puerto Rico.

"It is good to know that an athlete on the level of Winky Wright takes the time during his visit to Puerto Rico to come see. It shows me a lot," Cotto told Primera Hora. "Winky has always been very respectful and sportsmanlike with us."
