According to Felix 'Tutico' Zabala Jr., president of All Star Boxing and promoter of WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (20-0, 17KOs), he will travel to California this week to meet with Bob Arum, president of Top Rank, and Fernando Beltran, president of Zanfer Promotions.
Zabala says Arum is very interested in co-promoting Vazquez. He wants to listen to Arum's offer. Then he plans to sit down with Beltran to discuss a possible fight between Vazquez and former champon Jorge 'El Travieso' Arce.
"I am going to meet with Arum on Friday. He seems to be interested in Vazquez. It appears that we have an offer (promotional). I will meet with Beltran on the same day, but separate. We want to discuss the status of a possible fight between Arce and Vazquez, the pontential dates and venues," Zabala said to Jose Sanchez. "Arum works hard with Beltran and they are partners (in some promotions). It's about listening to offers."
