This Saturday night, WBC mandatory challenger Deontay Wilder (31-0, 31 KOs) is facing Jason Gavern (25-16-4, 11 KOs) in a heavyweight contest scheduled for ten at the StubHub Center in Carson, California....and he will be in a hurry once he steps in the ring.

Deontay is risking the opportunity to fight for the world title against division champion, Bermane Stiverne. If he loses to Gavern or suffers an injury, his shot for the world title at the end of this year would be is serious jeopardy.

"I'm ready and excited to continue showing the world that I am the best heavyweight. And it's only a matter of time before I'm WBC champion. I do not underestimate any opponent. I want to stay active prior to the fight against Stiverne. I can and I will predict there's going to be quick a knockout on Saturday," promised Wilder.
