The referee for the showdown between heavyweights Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker has been selected.
Veteran British referee Ian John-Lewis will be the third man in the ring when the boxers collide at The O2 on July 28, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
This is Parker's second consecutive fight in the UK - and his handlers were very unhappy with Italian referee Giuseppe Quartarone, who oversaw the Kiwi boxer's twelve round decision loss to Anthony Joshua at Cardiff's Principality Stadium in March.
Lewis was the referee for Whyte's March knockout win over Lucas Browne. He also handled the May twelve round draw between light heavyweights Adonis Stevenson and Badou Jack in Canada.
Parker's trainer Kevin Barry had stated earlier in the week that he was hoping the contest would receive an experienced British referee.
"We want one of the best referees that BBBofC can offer," said Barry to Sky Sports.
"I think we've been pretty hard done by in our first two previous fights here in the UK by the referee, so this time I would like to think they will give us a classy guy. Someone who won't be an interference for the fight, someone who will let the fight go."
"I tell you what, there are plenty of good British referees. Let's just choose one of them."
The winner of the heavyweight scrap could land an immediate showdown with Joshua, who holds the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world titles.
Joshua is coming back on September 22nd, when he faces mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin of Russia at Wembley Staidum in London. Joshua already has a fight date set down for April 13, also at Wembley. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, has already made it known that next week's winner would be in the mix to fight Joshua in 2019 - and possibly on the April date.
