Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing informed BoxingScene.com that he would interested in exploring the possibility of a fight between former WBO heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov 22-1, 17KOs) and undefeated Chris Arreola (24-0, 21KOs). It was reported yesterday on BoxingScene that Dan Goossen, who promotes Arreola, is also interested in the matching the two heavyweights. Arreola does not have a set opponent for his November 29 date on HBO.
Margules says that while there is interest, they have yet to be approached with an offer to fight Arreola.
"We are interested in a fight between Sultan Ibragimov and Chris Arreola, but the fight has not been offered to us," Margules said.
An interview with Ibragimov, talking about the latest happenings with his career, will appear on BoxingScene very shortly.
