Last month, Josh Warrington knocked out previously-undefeated Dennis Ceylan in Leeds to set up a clash with IBF Champion Lee Selby, provided Selby wins on December 9th.

The Leeds Warrior spoke exclusively on the brand new BoxNation Podcast and responded to Selby’s claims that he is getting big-headed.

“To be honest with you, it’s the first time I’ve been called big headed. I try to go about my business in a humble manner. I never get too far ahead of myself,” argued Warrington. “I don’t know where he gets the big-headedness from.”

The Welshman has called Warrington a good, but not great fighter, while the challenger talked up the respect he has for Selby’s skillset: “I’ve always given [Selby] credit as a fighter.

“I’ve always spoke highly of his boxing ability. What I don’t like is his attitude and the way he goes about things. It sounded like he had to say I was a decent fighter, I don’t think he’s got any respect for me!”

Recently the IBF Champion stated that the rivalry started from Warrington’s side, not his. “I think it’s a load of b*llocks,” replied Warrington.

“Over the last few years the rivalries naturally build up. You want to beat that fighter in front of you. It was created on both sides.”

Warrington is expected to challenge for the World Title next year, providing Selby gets through his next defence in London on December 9th.
