In a recent interview with ITV, promoter Frank Warren said that he is in the process of lining up the winner of the upcoming Danny Williams-Matt Skelton rematch to face the seven-foot WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev. Warren would like stage the event before the end of the year, preferably in Britain.
"I have been speaking to Chris Meyer, the chief executive of Valuev's promoters, and that is the fight we are working on at the moment. Valuev is the guy who is getting all the attention in the division at the moment so he is the one we would like to do. If not we will take a look at the three other world champions," said Warren to ITV
