Frank Warren, who promotes unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury, has reacted to some of the recent comments from promotional rival Eddie Hearn, who questioned the entertainment value of Fury.
"I don't want to be disrespectful, but Tyson Fury is the most unentertaining fighter I've ever seen," Hearn said to The Indepedent.
"He's never been in a good fight in his whole career, apart from [Steve] Cunningham, where he got knocked down. Deontay Wilder against Anthony Joshua is the biggest fight in world boxing and stylistically it is the most exciting match-up you could possible make in boxing."
Hearn promotes Fury's biggest domestic rival, unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Warren slammed down Hearn's statements regarding Fury.
He says Hearn was attempting to sign Fury to a very lucrative three fight contract.
Over the weekend, Fury released what he claims are some confidential emails from Hearn, who allegedly offered up 3 million for Fury's first bout.
"All this bulls*** about ‘he’s the most boring fighter ever, he’s the worst fighter you’ve ever seen.’ He’s the worst fighter he’s ever seen, [why] was he [Eddie Hearn] trying to feed up two of his fighters for him to beat, which was Whyte and [Tony] Bellew and then fight Joshua, and offer him millions to do it. So suddenly he’s a bad fighter," Warren said to Boxing News.
Fury returns to the ring on December 1, when he challenges Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Warren said. “I wanted my man to have another couple of fights. Mentally he’s there, he wants it. He said let’s do it. His confidence has given me the confidence to make the fight. So we’ve made it happen. But that tells you what he’s about. Whatever you want to say about Tyson Fury, he’s got balls. He’s the guy that went out to Germany, the other guy’s backyard. Didn’t go to purse bids, let’s go there, let’s do it… He went out there and he done it in style and won it. That tells you he wants to fight."
