Promoter Frank Warren has won undisclosed damages and costs as well as a formal apology from boxer Ricky Hatton following an interview Hatton did with Sun Journalist Matt Bendoris in November 2009.
In the interview, Hatton, promoted by Frank Warren between 1997 and 2005 stated that;
"Promoters I had boxed for had ripped me off, not paid me what I was worth, misled me and not protected my interests"
Together with paying Mr Warren undisclosed damages and costs Hatton has issued the following apology to Mr Warren (attached herewith in its original form);

To whom it may concern.
On 11 November 2009 in an interview with Sun journalist Matt Bendoris, I said that promoters I had boxed for had ripped me off, not paid me what I was worth, misled me and not protected my interests. I am happy to make it clear that I was not in any way referring to Frank warren or my previous dealings with Frank and I apologise if anyone might have thought otherwise.

Frank Warren said today; "Once again, I am delighted that quotes made by Ricky Hatton have been clarified by him and any suggested criticism of my dealings with him have been proven to be untrue. I am happy to accept Ricky Hatton's clarification, damages and costs."
Previously, Frank Warren has won damages and costs against Publisher 'Random House' in relation to the autobiography of Ricky Hatton which was subsequently withdrawn from sale.
