Nicaraguan boxer Walter Castillo (23-2, 16 KOs), ranked No. seven by the World Boxing Association at 140 pounds, aims to fight this year in the United States before the month of May. He is promoted by Dream Team in the United States, and has a  Nicaraguan contract with Prodesa.

"It's almost a given that I'll fight in Miami under Dream Team. They told me so. For several months we've had this plan, but could not get it done," said Castillo, 25-years-old.

Castillo says he already fought the best fighters in the country. Last year, he took part in three fights and got wins against Cristian Ruiz, Rosemberth Gomez and against Mexico's Oscar Arenas.

"I am very interested in the U.S. because that's where the best fighters are at and I want to measure myself against them, here in Nicaragua there is no one who can beat me," reiterated Castillo.

Castillo has only lost once since 2008, a controversial split decision loss to Vicente Mosquera in 2012.
