Junior welterweight Walter Castillo (18-2, 12KOs) of Nicaragua has entered the top 15 of the WBA's rankings. The 23-year-old boxer had lost a fight early in his career but then won 16 fights in a row until losing a split decision in February to Vicente Mosquera. Since the loss he won two more bouts.

"This is the first step in achieving the desire of every fighter, to win a world title," said Castillo. "Wins and losses are part of the experience that build you as an athlete. I think every day that passes is a chance to learn and right now I'm at my best, so I want more challenging battles."
