Nicaraguan prospect Walter Castillo (16-1, 12 KOs) is on a fifteen fight win streak, after losing a close four round split decision in his professional debut, which happened on July 12, 2008 against Edwin Palacios. He faces his most dangerous opponent on February 9th in Panama City - experienced former WBA world champion Vicente Mosquera (29-2-1, 16KOs) for the vacant WBC Latino title at 140-pounds.
Mosquera has lost once in the last twelve years, and that defeat came in 2006 to dangerous puncher Edwin Valero. Mosquera, who went down twice in the first, came back to drop Valero in the third. He was stopped and lost his title in the tenth round. After the loss to Valero, he took a very long layoff and only returned in February of this year. He stayed busy, fighting five times and winning four by knockout.
