London Cruiserweight Wadi Camacho (13-5, 8 KOs) is targeting a Southern Area title in February 2016 despite seeing his second outing under the Goodwin Promotions banner pulled at the last minute.
The former Prizefighter champion was due to have his second bout in under two months on the ‘Night of War’ card at the York Hall, Bethnal Green (Saturday, December 5), but was forced to find a new opponent two days before the show.
A late bid to reschedule a fight with a stand-in also didn’t go to plan when Moses Matovu (5-64-4) failed a medical.
Camacho, from Canning Town, told Boxing Scene: "I had a change of opponent on Thursday and I was supposed to face Moses Matuvo but he failed a medical.
"I’ll be out in a couple of weeks on a dinner show and I’ll be fighting for the Southern Area title in February."
Despite the less than ideal preparation ahead of a title tilt, the Spanish-born boxer is remaining positive.
"I don’t want to get frustrated or angry at the situation - I just want to focus on getting back to back wins."
