WBO #9 rated cruiserweight Maxim Vlasov (42-3, 25 KOs) will kick of his ring comeback on May 19 in Krasnodar in the event, promoted by SKV Boxing.

Vlasov, 32, fought and lost to ex-WBO champion Krzysztof Glowacki in November, having seen his three-year long winning series (12-0, 10 KOs) in a new weight class go down.

Now Vlasov will try his skills again versus a dangerous opponent in Dominican Lenin Castillo (20-2-1, 15 KOs), who had some solid wins, including one over 27-2-1 Aaron Mitchell and gave a very tough outing to 21-0 prospect Marcus Browne. Remarkably, Castillo, 30, fought in Russia in 2011, when still an emerging prospect himself.

Vlasov won’t be the only high-rated cruiserweight to make a comeback in the event.

Another World Boxing Super Series contestant and IBF #9 / WBC #13 ranked Ruslan Fayfer (23-1, 16 KOs) will also fight on the card against a yet unknown opponent. Fayfer, 27, lost to Andrew Tabiti of the States in the first round of the WBSS 2018/2019 season.

Comebacks will continue with bantamweight prospect Vyacheslav Mirzaev (12-1, 3 KOs) continuing his revival following a bitterly surprising stoppage loss to Kenny Demicillo a year ago.

Also on the card, young super middleweight gun Batal Chezhiya (9-0, 3 KOs) from Abkhazia is expected to fight for the WBO Youth title. Malawian Simon Tcheta (9-2-1, 7 KOs) was discussed as the foe but BoxRec has him listed fighting on the close date (May 10) against former world title challenger Walter Kautodonkwa.
