WBC #9 Russian super middleweight Maxim Vlasov (24-1, 12 KOs), who has recently outpointed former four-time world title challenger Khoren Gevor in a heated encounter, will come back at the end of this month for the third time in 2012. Vlasov, 26, faces tough Serbian challenger and WBO #12 Geard Ajetovic (21-7-1, 10 KOs) in Troitsk, Russia, on Dec. 30.

The bout will fill in the undercard of Oleg Maskaev’s comeback against Owen Beck. Vlasov holds the WBC Baltic super middleweight championship, while Ajetovic, 31, is the WBO European titleholder in the very same weight class. It’s not yet decided which of the titles will be at stake on the fight night. Ajetovic, who has never lost inside the road, already fought in Moscow in 2008 and dropped a wide decision to Dmitry Pirog.
