The numerous interviews being conducted by WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has attracted the attention of the Klitschko brothers. Now both WBC heavyweight champion Vitali and IBF/IBO/WBO champion Wladimir want to meet the Briton in the ring more than anyone else. Though, as Vitali Klitschko explained in his interview to “Sport-Express”, they haven’t yet decided who is to face Haye first.
“The biggest problem with the possible Haye bout is my brother”, - Vitali confessed. – “We’ll probably have to toss a coin to decide who will fight Haye. We really argue with Wladimir because of Haye, and my brother doesn’t want to step back. He wants to teach Haye a lesson very much. It’s more important to him than the title itself. He even jokes: 'Vitali, you can take Haye’s title, but I’ll be the one to fight him.' Of course I answer that 'the belt can be taken only in the fight.' So it’s not easy to come to an agreement with my brother here, probably not easier than to agree with Haye”.
Though not everything depends only on Klitschkos’ desire to fight David Haye. Last year Haye's bout with Wladimir was canceled. Now that David has the champion’s title, it will be even harder to drag him into the ring, according to Vitali.
“Haye understands that the fight with either of us can’t end well for him”, - believes the Ukrainian. – “I think that his main motivation will be money he can get for such a bout. By the way, we can have this meeting in England where boxing is very popular. I think the Wembley stands will be full”.
