While Shannon Briggs is telling everyone that he has a deal to face WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in October, the champion from Ukraine says a deal to fight Briggs has not been finalized. Briggs told the press that he received a contract for the fight, but Klitschko says the contract is not even finished. Both Klitschko and Briggs are at the WBC's champions gathering in Cardiff.
"We are in the negotiations process. If we finish the contract, I hope in a couple of weeks, we will know about that. If not, we will face another opponent. We've talked about the possibility of a fight," Klitschko told the BBC.
