The champion of the WBC, Vitali Klitschko, does not rule out his younger brother Wladimir fighting his IBF mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin this year. He says the probability of Wladimir fighting Povetkin this year is very high. The fight can happen even sooner if WBA champion David Haye does not make a deal with Wladimir to unify their titles.

The sanctioning body has given Klitschko and Povetkin until April 26 to reach a deal. Vitali expects the boxing organization to give them an extension while Wladimir and Haye continue their negotiations.

"The probability of a fight between Wladimir and Povetkin taking place this year is very high. But until the contracts are signed, we can not say anything for sure. If Wladimir does not reach a deal with Haye in the near future, then he will climb in the ring to fight Alexander Povetkin," Vitali told sportbox.ru.
