The next Sauerland Event show in Germany is expected to go ahead on May 13 in Karlsruhe with former WBA interim champ Vincent Feigenbutz headlining, writes boxwelt.com. Already announced is a show in Bulgaria on April 28 with heavyweight Kubrat Pulev headlining .

Sauerland has shows scheduled for April 22 in Sundsvall (Sweden) with heavyweight Otto Wallin on top and in Helsinki, then May 27 with Robert Helenius vs Dereck Chisora II. Also in the works is a show in Sweden on May 20 and there appears to be plans for a show in Denmark early in June as well.

Benedetto Montella has passed away in Rome at the age of 76.  Montella was for 20 years an IBF representative in Europe replacing Jon Robinson (who later formed the WBU) and was behind many of the IBF subtitles such as the Intercontinental, East, East/West, Youth and Mediterranean titles.

In those early days IBF tried to form a "IBF Europe" but it didn´t work out too well.

In 2008 Montella left the IBF and later joined the IBO. Outside of boxing Montella worked in the travel industry and did very well.

Danish light heavyweight Jeppe Morell (7-0) is in tough on April 7 in Copenhagen on the Danish Fight Night promotion at the Frederiksberghall when he take on the experienced and tricky UK-based Ghanian Patrick Mendy, who is 17-12-2 but the record doesn´t tell the full story.

Mendy is 3-5-1 since 2014 but all fights are on the road against tough opponents and he beat Oscar Ahlin on his last visit to Scandinavia.
