WBC light flyweight champion Brian “Pinoy Punch” Viloria made the ceremonial toss in the first game of the twinbill at the start of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Gran Matador All-Filipino Cup Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum -- venue of Ali-Frazier Thrilla in Manila fight in Oct. 1975 -- in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines.
The Filipino champion makes sure he shares the glory that he has gained with his countrymen after retaining the title with unanimous decision win against Jose Antonio Aguirre on Feb. 18 at Aladdin Casino in Las Vegas.
Viloria, who is obliged to put his title against fellow Filipino Juanito Rubillar, attended various gatherings in metro Manila, visits radio programs, received recognitions among others since he arrived in Manila Tuesday.
PBA is the counterpart of National Basketball Association (NBA) in the United States and the first play-for-pay basketball league in Asia. It was established in 1975.
