Super flyweight title contender in the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Victor" Nene "Zaleta, recalls that nobody gave him a chance when he beat current world champion Gilberto Keb, and Keb's upcoming challenger, José Antonio Aguirre. Zaleta will face Omar Narvaez, the champion of the WBO, on February 12 in Monte Hermoso, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on a card put together by Prensa Promociones del Pueblo and Grupo Modelo. Televisa will televise.
"I know that I am not the favorite for the fight against Narvaez, which of course fits me, because I'm used to not being the favorite. Believe it or not it motivates me," said Zaleta.
Zaleta recalled that in his third professional fight, he fought the former world champion Eric Ortiz and knocked him out in six rounds. In his sixth battle, he gave a ten round beating to José Antonio "El Jaguar" Aguirre. Some time later he was measured against the the Yucatan, Gilberto Keb Bass, and finished him off in the third round of 2009 showdown.
"As I said and I repeat, the fight against Narvaez is very difficult. He is a very experienced fighter in the ring and has the world title, but I'm used to nobody believing in me and I like to shut people's mouths," concluded the boxer from Chihuahua.
