Guadalajara, Mexico - Victor "Viking" Terrazas (29-2, 16KOs) is now looking straight ahead at a title shot after winning a close twelve round split decision over Nehomar Cermeno (20-3, 12KOs) on Saturday. Terrazas said he felt much stronger than Cermeno, who was moving from the bantamweight division where he lost two close battles with Chemito Moreno. Terrazas-Cermeno was a WBA super bantamweight eliminator.
Terrazas now wants to get his shot at champion Ryol Li Lee (17-1, 8KOs), also known as Retsuri Lee. He will have to wait for the outcome of Lee's next defense on Monday against Akifumi Shimoda (22-2, 10KOs) at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo.
