Everything has been agreed upon with Showtime to air the February 7 slugfest between undisputed junior bantamweight champion Vic Darchinyan and challenger Jorge Arce of Mexico. The fight will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Gary Shaw, who promotes Darchinyan, told Dan Rafael that he expects some wild pre-fight press conferences. Darchinyan told Shaw that he plans to punish Arce very bad.
"I think it's a spectacular fight," Shaw said. "The press conferences may be as good as the fight. I can't wait for both the press conferences and the fight. Vic told me he will beat Arce worse than he beat Mijares. He told me to schedule it only for four rounds because he said that is all he will need."
