It appears that popular trainer boxing trainer Jeff Fenech has has parted ways with undefeated IBF/IBO flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan, who has a bout against American-based Filipino Glenn Donaire at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas next month.

"It's not disappointing, it's surprising, because we're close to each other and maybe at the moment, he's too busy, I don't know," Darchinyan told AAP. "If he wants to be in my corner he's supposed to tell me and let me know, I don't want him to come in at the last minute, he must be with me and train with me."

Billy Hussein will be in Darchinyan's corner instead. Fenech would not disclose what the fighter did to cause the rift, but he appeared to be very upset with the fighter.

"He (Darchinyan) has done something I wasn't happy about," Fenech said. "These kids get a bit carried away, they think they can do everything on their own after people have helped them all their career."
