Before facing Mike Tyson in various exhibition bouts on the "Tyson World Tour," Corey “T-Rex” Sanders will face Kertson “The Cat” Manswell on October 14 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in his native Tobago. The winner will face former British Champion Danny Williams in November, in London. Manswell has been unbeaten in 11 starts since turning pro.

Talk about tough love. In Australia, Police allege that promoter Craig Christian beat his 21-year-old light middleweight Lennox "2 Sharpe" Allen, with a baseball bat at a boxing gym in Balcatta, in April. Christian pleaded not guilty in the West Australian District Court to charges of assault occasioning bodily harm, deprivation of liberty, and threatening to kill.

Willie Savannah, manager for undefeated WBA lightweight champion Juan Diaz, told the Chronicle that his fighter will face Fernando Angulo (18-3, 11KOs) of Venezuela on Nov. 4 at Phoenix.

"(Angulo's) about the same size as Juan," Savannah said, "and he's aggressive."

The main event of the card will feature WBO heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich against New York's Shannon Briggs. Diaz-Angulo starts off the Showtime telecast. Savannah noted that Diaz has yet to sign a final contract with promoter Don King, revealing that a "few loose ends" need to be ironed out, but he expects for his fighter to sign.

Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison tells the UK Sun , that he wants redemption for his losses to Danny Williams and Dominick Guinn, and get redemption he will beat countryman Matthew Skelton when the two fighters meet at London’s ExCel Arena on December 9.

“For four years after I won the Olympics, I was seen everywhere and it burnt me out. Suffering those two defeats to Williams and Guinn focused me. It made me look in the mirror at what I was. It took the loss to Williams and the ridicule that came afterwards to wake me up and change my attitude," Harrison said. "I am back in England to do myself justice and redeem my name. This next fight is about my own credibility as a boxer.”

Skelton on the other hand wants to use Harrison as a stepping stone towards a title bout with WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev. Skelton turned down a December clash with Maskaev in Moscow, because of what he felt were bad contract terms.

“I didn’t have to take this fight, there were plenty of other options for me including that world title shot. But when I beat him in December I will be able to demand far better terms than what was being offered to go to Moscow and fight Maskaev,” Skelton said.
