Initially, undefeated junior middleweight contender Vanes Martirosyan had some doubts about Manny Pacquiao's ability to beat Antonio Margarito. Vanes and Pacquiao are both trained by Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California. After Vanes watched Pacquiao's focused efforts at the Wild Card, he quickly changed his mind. Like most experts, Vanes doesn't think Margarito will be able to handle Pacquiao's speed.

"At first I was thinking Manny wasn't serious and the camp didn't look like the camps Manny's had in the past.  I really thought Margarito had a good chance but that was at the beginning of Manny's camp," Vanes told BoxingScene.com. "Now Manny is in great shape and he's focused and ready to kick ass.  I think Manny will knock him out or win a wide decision.  It's all Manny.  He's too fast for Margarito."

The win won't come easy. Vanes expects a very tough fight to the end.

"With that being said, I think it's going to be a hard fight for Manny because Margarito is in great shape and he's a warrior, but Manny will win because he has the upper hand, namely Freddie Roach and Alex Ariza," Vanes said.
