The monster from Russia, Nicolay Valuev stays unbeaten after defeating the undefeated Gerald "The Jedi" Nobles by disqualification in the 4th round. Nobles was penalized two points for repeated low blows in the second and third round of the fight.  After landing a shot to the hip of Valuev, the ref called the fight.

The fight really did nothing for Valuev as his performance in the bout was far from dominating. The stock of Nobles may have risen to a higher level then Valuev based on the fact that he not only held his own, he even shook up the giant with a few big bombs. Most thought Valuev would blow Nobles out within a few rounds.

This was an important fight in the heavyweight division as there are many that feel Valuev can make an impact on the U.S. boxing scene. Valuev's appeal is his freakish genetics, nt his talent. Standing at over 7 feet and weighing over 320 pounds, Valuev may be the only boxer that dwarfs both Klitschko brothers.

This was the first real opponent for Valuev, hopefully he moves up in competition in his next bout. Valuev's record goes to 39-0-29K and Nobles falls to 24-1-19K.
