The word coming out of Mexico has the lightweight clash between WBC champion Edwin Valero and mandatory Antonio DeMarco heading off to Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico on Febuary 6. The fight will be televised by Showtime. Over the course of his last few fights, DeMarco has shown some vast improvement and should provide a tough test for Valero.
The unbeaten Venezuelan power-puncher will play the role of the villian as thousand of Mexican fans will be there to cheer on DeMarco. If he beats DeMarco, Valero wants the big names at lightweight and junior welterweight.
