Exciting 22-year-old lightweight prospect Valentine "Bring It" Borg has inked with prominent Australian manager/adviser Mike Altamura of MJA Boxing.
The 5'10" Borg, 8-1 (5), last saw action on August 29th with a second-round KO. "I'm thrilled to be working with Val," expressed Altamura. "I've followed his progress since the amateurs and he's always brought a fan-friendly, never-say-die attitude to the ring. Definitely a throwback-type fighter."
Borg has captured the Australian 135lb title in his short career, but Altamura sees much loftier heights ahead. "Trainer Mark Grech has done an outstanding job developing Val, and I know there's still loads of improvement ahead. We'll be targeting a solid regional title within the next six months and then look to steadily ascend up the world rankings."
