Super middleweight title challenger Jose Uzcategui is still upset at the actions that occured after his May 20th disqualification loss to Andre Dirrell in Maryland.

Uzcategui was up on the cards when he unloaded a three piece combination as the bell sounded to end the eighth round. The referee ruled that final punch landed after the bell and disqualified Uzcategui for the punch.

Immediately after the fight, Dirrell's uncle nonchalantly came over to an unsuspecting Uzcategui and unloaded his own bare fisted combination on Uzcategui.

"I never thought that would have ever happened. I could think of a thousand other things I thought would have happened instead of that happening but things happen for a reason. I am now a lot more well known especially here in the United States," Uzcategui told BoxingScene.com.

Lawson immediately left the ring and after being on the run for a couple weeks he finally turned himself and is currently awaiting trial. With the whole incident captured on video, Lawson is expected to receive jail time.

As for Uzcategui, without getting into specifics, said that this wasn't the first time that Lawson has acted in this manner and that his goal is that Lawson will be banned from working the corner of a sanctioned fight for the rest of his life.

"I told my lawyer and my team what I want the most is that he is never in a gym or a ring again because of the way he conducted himself in the ring. That wasn't the first time that happened.  That was the second time he did and I don't think that he should ever be allowed in our beautiful sport again," said Uzcategui.

Uzcategui's team protested the outcome of the fight but the Maryland State Athletic Commission ruled that the disqualification would remain the result of the fight. The IBF ordered an immediate rematch in late June after doing their own review of the fight that was for the interim IBF super middleweight title.  The winner of the rematch will then be ordered to face the champion James DeGale, who is still recovering from injuries suffered in his title defense against Badou Jack.
