In the co-feature, WBA international lightweight champion Alisher Rahimov (21-0, 11 KOs) stayed undefeated but received a lackluster result with a twelve round split decision over Sergio Thompson (14-2, 13 KOs) to retain his title. Thompson was a late sub in the contest. The scores were 117-111 and 118-110 for Rahimov, and 115-113 for Thompson. Most at ringside saw Rahimov as the clear winner but felt the scores should have been a little closer.
